STATEMENT OF INTENT Lightning On Demand is a collaboration of engineers, artists, scientists and machinists. Our main objective is to develop an experimental facility suitable for the study of natural electrical phenomena. The design for the Nevada Lightning Laboratory features a phased pair of Tesla Coils, 122 feet tall. The 8 megawatt twin coils will be capable of generating electrical discharges several hundred feet in length, with the goal of re-creating the essential components of natural lightning in a laboratory environment.
